Happy Halloween!

As a reminder, tomorrow, Wednesday October 31, students (and staff!) are invited to dress up for Halloween. Students should come to school dressed in costume as there will not be time allotted to change into them. Depending on the costume, you may also want to send a change of clothes in case the costume becomes uncomfortable throughout the day. Costumes may not include any weapons (real or fake) and must be culturally appropriate. 

Regular learning will take place throughout the morning. We will celebrate Halloween in our class for a short time after lunch. As per our school policy, we will not be sharing any food related treats on this day.

Indoor Shoes
Please remember that all students should have two pairs of shoes -- one to travel to and from school and to wear outdoors during recess, and the second for in the classroom and the gym.

Scholastic Book Orders
If you would like to order books, please send in your orders by Friday, November 2, 2018.

School Council Meeting
Our next School Council meeting will be held this Thursday October 25th at 7pm.

Remembrance Day
As Remembrance Day falls on a weekend, our school will commemorate this day on Monday November 12.

Photo Makeup Day
If you missed photo day photo retakes will be done on Monday November 12.

No More Rainy Day Blues!

Our class knows how to make the most of an indoor recess! This morning we had fun being creative with pattern blocks and trying out our wooden logic puzzles!

Freeze Kids Comic Books!

We had an AMAZING afternoon learning how to draw with Freeze Kids Comic Books!

Anthony and Justin led us step-by-step in drawing a monkey, Little Bo Peep, Patrick from Sponge Bob Square Pants and more! Your son/daughter is coming home today with an order form so they can practice learning to draw by following the instructions in the books.

Books are $5 each, or all 5 books for $20.

Orders are cash only and are due Wednesday morning by 8:30am. 
NO LATE ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Our School Photos will be taken TOMORROW -- Wednesday October 10^th 2018 by Pegasus School Services. Every student will have the opportunity to be photographed and each student will receive a complimentary class photo. Students’ proofs and order forms will be sent back to the school to be shared with you in the weeks following.

Fresh from the Farm

Fresh from the Farm provides schools the opportunity to raise some funds by selling fresh, Ontario-grown fruit and vegetables to the community, while promoting healthy eating and supporting Ontario farmers. Fresh from the Farm orders will take place between October 1^st and October 12^th 2018 with the school delivery scheduled for a date in November through to early December.  We will advise of the exact delivery date 10 days prior to the pick-up date.

Two ‘bundles’ of Ontario-grown fruit and vegetables are offered for sale with 40% of sales go directly to the school.

• Bundle A contains: 5 lb potatoes, 3 lb carrots, 3 lb yellow onions, 3 lb sweet potatoes and sells for $14.00.
• Bundle B contains: 8 lb Empire apples and sells for $15.00.

A Fresh from the Farm flyers and order form were sent home with students on Monday. Completed order forms with cheques (preferred) or cash can be dropped off in the school office through October 12th 2018.
